Art is an adventure for me - I begin with an idea or a reference image, and then follow where it leads, creating meaning in the process of discovering the evolving painting. I have explored many mediums in my journey as an artist, including ceramics, painting in both oil and acrylic, drawing, print-making and collage. My current work is mostly in acrylic and oil, with a little charcoal on the side.  I particularly enjoy portraits - each face is so unique,  imbued with the story of the person who wears it. (And I'm really, really good at them ;)
